Oh gosh.....!!! I look like I'm twelve! In my defense I worked with middle schoolers for 6+ years...Apparently they rubbed off on me! AGHHH! Anyway, here is my video blog for y'all. This is love, seriously...
I think you did great! Very personal and down to earth, which makes it easier for your audience to connect with you. As I have told you before, I relate to being confused with my middle school students, since I am only 5'2 and maybe half...lol Thank you for sharing with us!
I am sure we could! When my daughter was in high school, I was walking down the hall with sunglasses on my head to go to an assembly, and a teacher stopped me and was getting on to me. I laughed and said, hmmmm I am a parent and do not have a class to be in. Needless to say she was embarrassed! We should hang out for sure. Come down to FL and we can head to the beach!
Very nice video. You don't sound weird at all. I know what it's like to think you sound awesome, though, and then hear yourself. Ouch. I have a very bad southern drawl. Not a good, proper, sweet, Georgia/Scarlett drawl. It's more of a split between those poor souls who only get interviewed when their house is knocked down by a twister ( :( ) and Matthew McConaughey (but not in a good way)....
LOVE THIS RACHEL! And actually, you DO sound weird on the blog... ;) But just b/c of the computer stuff, not because it's your voice...I laughed the whole time I watched it...in a good way. Whoo hoo Rachel! Great job! I miss you.
Rachel, I love it. Not sure I can get up the nerve to record one myself. Looking forward to the new books coming out! And I agree with Leah, the blog looks great.
Loved it! Thanks for just being you. I cannot wait till WM comes out. I read like crazy too and it seems I am just passing the time with other books until another of your books come out. I love all your stuff! Guess it's time to do some rereading to get ready for Whispered Music. :)
Oh my gosh, Rachel - when you said you'd re-done it a gazillion times I thought, 'thank God I'm not the only one who can't get this right on the first go.' Then you mentioned the 'voice' thing and I was like, 'yup - so true.' You did great though - I'm super Impressed by your impromptu talking skills...I have a tendency to freeze up if I know there's a camera and I feel like I sound like an idiot...I'm sure practice makes perfect though so I'm gonna keep trying - maybe once we meet we can do one together ha ha! Rachel & Sophie, live from the Nationals & fully garbed in our Regency gowns =D
OMG, you rock!! I loved your sense of humor.. Looking forward to another VBlog..
